Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Worldly! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Worldly mobile application ("App," "Worldly," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Worldly, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use Worldly. It's that simple.

Description of Service

Worldly is a personal travel tracking iOS application that allows you to:

  • Manually log places you've visited around the world
  • Visualize your travel history on an interactive map and 3D globe
  • Track travel statistics across continents, countries, states/provinces, and cities
  • Store all data locally on your device

Worldly is a local-first application. All data is stored on your device, and we do not operate backend servers or require user accounts.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Worldly. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian. By using Worldly, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Your Responsibilities

When using Worldly, you agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
  • Not remove or modify any copyright or trademark notices
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored on it by Worldly.

Fees and In-App Purchases

Worldly is free to download and includes core features at no cost. The app includes 2 free map styles for visualizing your travels.

Premium Map Styles

Worldly offers additional premium map styles as one-time in-app purchases at $0.99 each. These purchases include:

  • Permanent access: Once purchased, a premium map style is unlocked forever
  • Tied to your Apple ID: Purchases are linked to your Apple ID and can be restored on other devices using the same Apple ID
  • One-time payment: No subscriptions or recurring charges

Payment Processing

All in-app purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Your payment information is handled by Apple according to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. We do not have access to your payment details.

Refunds

All sales are final. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Apple Support or request a refund through your Apple ID account settings. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.

Intellectual Property

Worldly and all its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Worldly and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Data: You retain all rights to the travel data you enter into Worldly. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete ownership and control.

App License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Worldly for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Third-Party Services

Worldly integrates with and relies on several third-party services:

Apple Services

  • Apple MapKit: Used for place search and map display functionality, subject to Apple's MapKit Terms of Service
  • Apple App Store: You downloaded Worldly through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service
  • Apple In-App Purchases: All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's payment terms and policies

Google Firebase Analytics

Worldly uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized app usage data to improve performance and user experience. Your use of this service is subject to Firebase Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is collected.

Disclaimers and Warranties

Worldly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

  • Worldly will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results from using Worldly will be accurate or reliable
  • The quality of the App will meet your expectations
  • Any errors will be corrected

Data Accuracy: Place names, geographic boundaries, and map data are provided by Apple MapKit and other third-party sources. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in geographic data or map visualizations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Worldly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use Worldly
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of your device
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the App
  • Any loss of data stored in the App (remember to back up your device!)
  • Any errors or omissions in content or data

Data Backup: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for backing up your device through iCloud or other means. We are not responsible for any data loss.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Worldly and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Termination

You can stop using Worldly at any time by deleting the App from your device. This will also delete all locally stored data.

We reserve the right to discontinue Worldly or any features at any time without notice. However, since all your data is stored locally on your device, you'll still have access to your data even if we discontinue the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. We'll also notify you through the App Store update notes if we make significant changes.

Your continued use of Worldly after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, stop using the App.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Worldly will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Worldly regarding the use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
